Are there fabric stores close by?
Yes, we're fortunate to have several excellent independent fabric stores in the greater Concord/Henniker/Boscawen area!

Bittersweet Fabrics
Opened in 1968 the shop is only a few blocks from downtown Penacook. They're also an award-winning Janome sewing machine dealer, widely involved in the sewing industry across New England, and a longtime supporter of makers and quilters. They carry an assortment of threads and notions in addition to fabrics.
Golden Gese
Located in Concord, and also family-owned, here's a special independent quilt store with a wonderful selection of quilting fabrics and supplies. Classes and retreats offered as well. Be sure to tap into their years of quilting expertise!
Paradise Quilting
On Manchester Street in Concord, Paradise Quilting is much more than a fabric and notion shop. See their website for the many services they offer and be prepared to spend some time browsing the shelves! In addition to lots of fabric, they have a great collection of rulers and out-of-the ordinary sewing tools.
Do you carry backing fabric?
Unfortunately we don't because of space limitations.
Do you sell quilts?
Yes, we have a variety of quilts for sale in the shop.
Do you rent time on your machine?
Not at this time. If we add more machines we'll definitely consider it.
I want a custom made quilt. Can you help me with a design?
Yes! We do commissions including assistance with design and fabric decisions.
Can you recommend sewing machine repair shops within an hour of Concord?
Bernina: Donna Cox sold and maintained Bernini's for many years at the Quilted Threads in Henniker. With its closing, she has opened her own dealership in Bow. QuiltPerfect is located at 1357 Rte 3A in Bow. Her website is under construction at the moment, and she can be reached at 603-225-8000.
